Engineering & Testing Excellence

At Tutumsafes, we specialize in designing and testing cutting-edge protective solutions. Our offerings include:

  • High-protection ammunition storage units
  • Survival support and bomb shelter structures
  • Ballistic testing and verification systems
  • Tailored engineering project solutions

Certified Testing Services

All solutions undergo stringent testing to ensure resilience and compliance with international standards:

  • Static load testing
  • Dynamic impact and blast testing
  • Break-in resistance simulations
  • Fire resistance evaluation
  • Heat transfer and thermal shielding analysis

Cyclic Blast Testing

At Tutum Safes, our modular panels have undergone extensive blast testing. The extrapolated TNT equivalence for blast resistance is as follows:

  • IBD (Instantaneous Blast Distance): 0 m at max. 2 kg TNT*
  • Post-Test Observation: With 1,200 g TNT, the structure remained intact**
  • Cumulative Energy Absorbed: Equivalent to 11,700 g TNT***
  • Swedish Kasun Test: Structure resisted 1,000 g F46 explosives**

* Max extrapolated limit based on tested scenarios.
** Test program using small concrete Kasun houses (Langberg H., Christensen S., Skudal S., FoU-Rapport nr 24/2004).
*** Accumulated energy absorption over multiple blast cycles.

Break-in Resistance Simulations

Tutum Safes' mobile storage units have been tested under EN 1143-1 Grade VIII protocols to simulate forced entry attempts using mechanical and thermal tools. These include cutting, drilling, prying, impact, and thermal attack scenarios.

The simulations confirm prolonged resistance times consistent with the highest certified standards, representing a proven barrier against targeted intrusions in defense and high-risk zones.

Independent certification was conducted by A/S Inspecta Latvia in accordance with European testing norms. Units demonstrated exceptional durability, meeting the stringent resistance criteria for secure field deployment.

  • EN 1143-1 Grade VIII Certified
  • Simulated cutting, drilling, and thermal attacks
  • Tested against impact and mechanical force
  • Validated by A/S Inspecta Latvia
  • Cumulative explosive energy absorbed: 11.7kg TNT
  • Minimum IBD of 0 meters for up to 2 kg TNT

Ballistic Testing

  • The structure meets FB-7 (EN 1522) ballistic protection class.
  • Tests as per STANAG 2280 (currently in design phase).
